Introductory Post

Greetings Blogging world!
For my first post, I will discuss my experiences with my new MacBook Pro.

I have used Windows PC's all my life so there were a lot of habits I had to adjust with my new laptop. I had gotten used to using hotkeys such as Ctrl+T to open a new tab, Ctrl+L to enter a new url, not to mention Ctrl+B and Ctrl+I for word processing.
More of an adjustment was learning the new programs. While I am used to iTunes, Quicktime and use Firefox for web-browsing, I am unfamiliar with iCal, Photobooth, and Garage Band.
I used an online tutorial (http://www.apple.com/findouthow/mac/) to answer my questions.

As I continue to use the machine I am becoming more and more used to the Mac operations. Now when I use Windows PC's in the library or in class I find my fingers reaching for the Command key!
Perhaps in a few years I'll try out Linux or Ubuntu and learn more about Operating Systems.
